Aabru Art

Aabru Art consultancy’s art fair Transcending Boundaries is well known to collectors of West African art and art investors alike, but they wanted to broaden its appeal. We took the exhibition into the national news and onto social media for the first time, while activity with Bonhams and the Art Newspaper showed the increasing market value of West African art and the breadth of works and artists exhibiting in the UK. Profiling artists including Rom Isichei, Edosa Ogiugo and Fidelis Odogwu on social media reached new audiences and activity with Time Out and Culture24 built buzz. We also partnered with the ICA Cinema and Soda Pictures on a screening of “Half of a Yellow Sun”. The exhibition launch was attended by more than 400 people and the VIP programme was fully booked. We successfully positioned Transcending Boundaries as a place where culture seekers and potential new collectors could discover new works and artists.
