The Crown Estate - Selfie Fashion Week

Selfie Fashion Week was a series of fast-moving dance based catwalk events that drove footfall and sales across five of The Crown Estate’s fashion led shopping parks by showcasing the very best of retailers’ autumn/winter trends in a new and exciting way. The initiative was created as part of our strategy to help kick start the autumn/winter season sales for retailers via compelling on park events that were closely integrated into our press and social media campaigns. 

We drove awareness, got people talking and inspired them to shop. The campaign reached 2.1m people and 16,000 people directly engaged with the five parks online while over 1,500 people attended events.

The result was a direct boost to retailers - 82% reported an increase in footfall and 90% reported an increase in sales – some even selling out of featured clothing lines in 24hrs.

Lional Pereira, Store Manager Primark, MK1, said: “Sales were up by 109% on the previous week and it was great that we saw lots of shoppers coming in straight after the Selfie Fashion Events, asking for items featured in show.”

Our Selfie Fashion campaign was shortlisted for a 2017 Revo Purple Apple Marketing award.
